The Top 2 Best Brunch Restaurants in Downtown Nashville!

Time for yet another DearTraveler Top 2!

Why? Because sometimes you only have time on your trip for two!

But trust me, we could go to these two best brunch restaurants in Nashville all week and not get bored.

Ready to get a hands on, saucy, messy old taste of Dolly Parton’s favorite black bean burger (did they even have those when she was a Nashville hero?). If so, let’s dig in!

Best Fancy Brunch Restaurant in Downtown Nashville

Ready to get a high-brow southern lunch with the fast-paced business goers of downtown? Then you’re ready for Merchants.

Why we loved it: Amazingly nice service from door to bar to table (and back to bar, because it was just super fun sitting there). Healthy yet traditional set of options (see below). Bright, lots of light, lively and bubbly clientele. Just felt like you were among important folks even if you just want to buy a pair of boots and see Impractical Jokers.

What we ordered: Fried green tomatoes with dip and pimento cheese (our first ever, YEAAS!), black bean burger, and goat cheese salad with the rotisserie chicken on top. We would absolutely 100% reorder everything except the salad, we we got too full and Christa made a bet with me I’d leave it uneaten in the fridge if we took it home with I did and I lost.

Best Casual Brunch Restaurant in Downtown Nashville

Later on that day perhaps, because who really decides when brunch ends #imeancomeon, make your way down Broadway to the waterside, 6 story establishment known as Acme Feed & Seed.

Why we loved it: Super casual, order at the front gift shop or the bar, get a ticket and sit wherever you please. The first floor is perfect for a bite, which comes out relatively fast, then make your way upstairs for a sports game or allll the way upstairs for a super casual roof lounge with an amazing view of the Cumberland River, Titans football stadium, and all that is downtown Nashville. Never ending options in this huge place.

What we ordered: Traditional chicken sandwich with fries, Ahi tuna burger, beer (so many options on draft!) and a frosé.

Conclusion: You simply can’t go wrong having brunch in Nashville

Even the louder, more “honky-tonk” places looked amazing. Nashville had amazing service (with the exception of anyone at Bridgestone Arena but that’s a different story and perhaps the bar tenders really late who are tired but who can blame em). You will love having a quick lunch or lengthily brunch or just an afternoon cocktail on the cheap anywhere down here.

As a bonus (and if you can’t exactly walk normally after all the eats but still want to exercise) grab yourself a Byrd or Uber scooter and roam around town to a park, to Vanderbuilt University, or even to the Nashville Parthenon.

You’re going to love your Nashville day – let us know in the comments how it goes!
