How do you prevent yourself from staying flat?

Well if you mean flat as a board, then actually you can stay that way! Because in this post I’m going to show you how to gain some bodily momentum in our morning workouts!

Notice how I said “our?” Because I’m right there with you each morning.

So if the moment you brush your teach and chug a glass of water you’re wondering how to keep your abs and legs looking great with extra energy in store for the day – keep reading!

Quarantine Abs: Why They Rule the Day

Have you even wondered how the models you see in the magazines, or you favorite Instagram celebs, get through the day so well that by the time you wake up they are slurping up a delicious avocado toast?

A little morning Yoga at the winter getaway cottage in Duluth, helps you stay warm and limber!

Well they start with morning abs!

For me the morning abs ritual is as simple as it sounds: get your abs going in the morning.

Just wakeup and go right after you brush your teeth, because it’s all about the abs.

I start my workout mat rolled out when I go to bet to make the morning workout that much easier.

Then by the time I’m squinting to the sunlight at 8am and drinking my water, I’m practically already there.

The key is to put yourself in workout positions, because you’re more likely to do the job when you’re in the position than when you’re sitting in bed or on the couch doubting yourself.

My 10 min abs can easily start once I’m on my mat.

It simply amounts to a workout created by my favorite Instagram workout guru Blogilates, easy to follow and even if it’s painful for the first 5, it’s bliss for the second 5.

What About the Squats and Arms You Say?

So as the previous paragraph indicated, I use Blogilates every day, or if I need a break I go for Boho Beautiful, and then Pamela Reif for quick targeted workouts.

It’s Pamela that really targets my tender areas: the thighs and the biceps.

So after the 10 minute abs we have:

  • 30x jumping squats
  • 30x arms dips

Now I’ll admit, when the family is sleeping in the rooms nextdoor or the boyfriend is even asleep in the sleeping bag burrito on the floor, this can get a little bit hectic.

But you’re a girl on a mission and your mission must be completed.

So doing 30 of anything, whether it be jumping squats or hitting a tennis ball against the wall while saying the Pledge of Allegiance is something people can handle.

Set Small Goals So You Don’t Psych Yourself Out

As you might be able to tell by now, this whole day is morning routine is broken down into bite-sized portions aka goals which you can knock off incrementally.

Every bit of morning workout confidence you gain is another step towards achieving the entire goal.

You might feel like you’re in pain the moment. You might want to go back to bed or just lie there in a pool of misery. We’ve all been there; you’re not alone.

But if you can get through it – and I know you can – the feeling on the other side is pure glory.

“How do you feel afterwards?” my boyfriend asks me. I

I sigh and smile knowing only someone who completed the workout can truly understand.

“I feel great.”

I Can Get More Done Throughout The Day

After your morning workout, your morning business calls feel better.

Breakfast tastes better.

The quarantine itself feels like less of a “thing” because you’ve just taken control of the day in a way that only you can do.

Time to really reach into your passion. What comes next?

Take the time for yourself / take care of yourself so you’ll be able to be the best and your family and whatever you want to put your energy into.

Everything is Unknown

Ultimately, in the end, it’s an unknown how you will start your day and what will happen in your day.

You will get the routine down, and I hope the above helped.

Because it’s good to have a routine for your days, your sanity.

This is for everyone who needs some structure, everyone is looking for ways to maintain their bodies and mentalities while the gyms are down. Or if you wanna start getting into healthy routine, be ahead of the lockdown.

Now you #CantMakeExcusesAnymore

Love you all!
